'Elaine' silk dupion Baptism Gown

‘Elaine’ with it's charming, dainty hand embroidered rose buds is a delightful gown to hold. The gown is made from silk dupion and fully lined in silk. It opens down the back allowing for Godparents to have a firm hold on baby and fastens with buttons at the back neck. The short full sleeves are embelished with hand embroidered rose buds to match the yoke detail. They are adjustable, drawn in at the base with satin bows helping to ease ironing of puffed sleeves.

The skirt hemline has contrasting wide pleats and pintucks to add textural interest to the hem. Vintage smocking highlighted with seed beads draws the gown's full skirt onto the piped yokeline.

‘Elaine’ with it's brother gown ‘Jamie’ are frequently chosen when Fraturnal twins are being Baptised. The gowns are similar, but the slight variations make it easier for relatives to distinguish between the babies. The gown can be ordered in sizes newborn - 00. The matching bonnet, booties and silk dupion pants are sold separately if required.
